Read MoreGood morning Markets are holding up well considering the events in the UK. My prayers go out to all those impacted by the tragedy. Equities are flashing green in premarket while gold and oil are basically flat. The dollar is also flat to slightly higher. Earning season has been strong and the markets have held up well but we have the Fed minutes out tomorrow and lots of other outside events that can create at the very least some doubt about how much further the markets can rise..........

The equities markets are basically flat in pre market trading while gold and oil are flashing green. Looks like OPEC has agreed to extending the oil cuts which is giving the black bubbly a nice little bounce. Energy names could be in play today.

Read MoreGood morning We are looking at a gap down this morning off of Political concerns and the Trump administration. It is becoming a real circus show and I for one wish we could just focus on getting some things done in Washington but all these distractions make it very difficult. The dollar is showing continued weakness while gold and oil are both showing a bit of strength in premarket. We have the petroleum status report at 10:30 ET and that could either help push oil higher if we have a bigger than anticipated draw down or it could stall if we have a bigger build in inventory of oil and gas.

Oil off of comments from Saudi Arabia and Russia with talk of extending production cuts till March of 2018 and gold could be bouncing off the actions of North Korea and the big ransom ware cyber attack that started on Friday and spread over the weekend. We talked about cyber security stocks in this weekends stocks to watch and they should be on your list if the malware continues to spread. There was also some news of a potential Ebola break out this weekend along with a ton of low floater biotechs reporting this morning so the space could get some action. Do not chase the low floaters and make sure there is sufficient liquidity to get in and out if you play in the space.

Read MoreGood morning So who would have thought that Trump firing someone would be such a big deal to the markets? Apparently it is a pretty big deal. I find it a bit ironic since firing people is one of the things that has made Trump so famous. I am already tired of hearing about it and its only been a day. I think there were issues with Comey on both sides of the isle and questions about his motives and credibility but hell what do I know? How does one guy being fired impact what has been an incredibly strong earnings season?
