Good morning I hope you had a nice long relaxing weekend. The global tensions continue but the impact on the markets appear to be moderate as we head into this earnings filled week ahead. I am not seeing a whole lot this morning that has grabbed my attention. Not much has changed from my weekend view.

Read MoreGood morning Markets were flat in premarket now we are seeing a little weakness as we approach the open. We had an unexpected draw down in oil inventories after the close according to the API report lets see if the petroleum status report confirms that report which come out today 7:30 ET. Oil and related names could be in play if we get confirmation of a larger than expected draw down. Gold is getting some follow through this morning and that could lead to the junior miner ETF's playing catch up.

TXMD just came out with a delay from the FDA which is a current position that I took a swing in. Read MoreGood afternoon Bulls and bears are in a battle to establish dominance and until that is resolved we will continue to have choppy action in the markets. The bulls have done a good job of fending the bears off but anything can happen so be prepared for either outcome. Sectors to keep an eye on this week are Gold. miners, shippers, material, infrastructure and of course banks which kick off earnings season on Thursday. China low float names could also get some follow through but make sure you play those size appropriate and do not chase.
