Good morning
CPI just hit and came in soft and that is giving the market a little bounce after the technical damage we did over that last few days. With increasing global tensions and earnings season winding down it's not a shocker that we are seeing some weakness. I have been suggesting to the pro members that if they have good profits in swings or long term holds it may be a good time to lock in some profits and build some cash over the last several weeks. August is typically a tough month for equities over the last 20 years August has only been up 5 times so being cautious and building up some cash reserves for potential opportunities on the horizon seemed prudent.
Low float garbage shippers with big short interests are gapping in premarket. These are very risky plays do not chase them and if you play them make sure its size appropriate.
Gold was gapping but after the CPI report we are seeing a pull back. Watch the gold names or ETF's for a potential bounce.
